SA NGARAN SAN DAMAYAN

ni Rogelio "Elio" Fuentes

“An Totoo na Katuyuhan – III”

Daghan man an mga text messages.  Puro sira paabor nan naruyag basi kono makonsensya an mga kandidato.

Pati an mga opisyales san munisipyo nan barangay obligado maghatag bulan-bulan puera pa san SOP san kada proyekto.

Sin-o an dapat basolon sini na baligtag na na situasyon.  An dahilan, an sobra na darayaan nan barakalan san boto kon eleksyon.  San panahon na diri uso an barakalan san boto, trangkilo an komunidad, nakapili sin husto an mga tawo san mga talagang dapat na kandidato para sa puesto.  Niyan, maski sin-o basta may dako na kuarta, nakaluwas.  An rason, bawi man kono kon nakapuesto na.

Dapat domdomon na an kultura hinimo san tawo. Kaya, kon maraot an bunga san kultura, an tawo na mismo an maghanap sin solusyon para mawara.

An dahilan, hataason an barakalan nira san boto san eleksyon kaya napierde an mga mayad na kapitan san bag-o na mahal an bakal san boto.

Kon hahatagan nira sin konsiderasyon, ini an naimod ko na solusyon: 1) Kon totoo talaga an kanira katuyuhan sa pagserbe sa bungto, dapat magkasarayo nan maghururon an mga kandidato na wara sa kanira sin magbakal boto o nano man na paagui na makabentahe sa kapwa kandidato.  Total, wara man mapabakal kon wara mabakal.

Maski kilala an kriminal, diri na magtestigo kay diri na uso niyan an hustisya.  Bahala na an Langit maghatag sin hustisya sa kanira.

Gusto ko ilinaw na an ako hamok katuyuhan an mabalik an katiwasayan sa ato bungto lalo na sa eleksyon kay an darayaan nan barakalan san boto mao an dahilan san karibukan niyan nan pagkaraot san moralidad san mga tawo.

Gusto ko man ipasabot na diri ko intensyon na rauton an imahe san ato bungto na sugad san komentaryo san iba kondi iluwas an totoo na situasyon.  Wara data kon puro an di-anis an isurat hamok kay nauyam magbasa an iba kon intatago an mga maraot na nangyayari.  Basi mapukaw an mga dapat mapukaw para mahimo an dapat nira himuon.

Nagpapasalamat man ako na dahil sa mga nabulgar dini sa Gazette, may sumbong man na nakaabot sa ako na an driver san jeep ko nagbibiyahe man kono sin kahoy na naga hali sa San Jose. An masasabi ko, dapat pina-aresto tulos nira nan kinasuhan kay diri ako makonsente na maging kasangkapan an jeep ko sa pag-arot san ato bulod.  Uumawon ko man an mga ipadara dini sa Gazette na mga negatibo na reaksyon sa Damayan-Buluseño o mismo sa ako personal basi mapukaw man ako sa ako mga pagkukulang o mga palso na himo kay pareho man san iba, wara man ako sin monopoliya san kaayadan lalo na san kabanalan.

            Maghuhulat ako.

THE THREE WORLDS OR LEVELS OF CONSCIOUSNESS

This is a continuation of the lessons on spirituality. In the last issue, we discuss about body-consciousness as distinguished from soul-consciousness. In this topic, we explore three levels of consciousness, the experience of which is like being in three different worlds.

It may be recalled that there are two types of energy: physical and spiritual. Physical energy is replenished by physical, tangible quantities of food and water, while spiritual energy can only be replenished by spiritual, intangible quality of thought in the form of love, truth, peace, etc.  We will discover how to recharge our spiritual batteries and the roles of the three worlds in this process. The soul has the ability to inhabit and be aware of the three worlds or levels of consciousness.

The PHYSICAL WORLD (Corporeal World): This is the world around us. It is a world we experience through our senses and characterized by sound, movement and form.  It is a world in which we directly relate to and interact with other human beings (or embodied souls or souls in bodies). In our relationships, we express what is inside our consciousness through our words and actions. This  is the purpose of life: our reason for living: to express, to experience, to enjoy.

The soul as a seed: The soul is like a seed. Within the seed is the future expression of the flower. Given soil, water and light, the seed begins to express its form, its fragrance and its color. In the same way, the soul in the body is able to express its nature through the fragrance of its virtues and the color of its personality. Like a garden of variety of flowers where every flower is unique, so too each soul, and its personality is unique.

However, we now live almost entirely on a physical level, as we have come to identify ourselves with our physical body and our possessions above all else. This means our words and actions are motivated by our physical identity and external surroundings. The shape, form, beauty and strength of our physical bodies now dominate our thinking, blocking our awareness of our spiritual beauty and strength. As a result, we find ourselves trapped in our awareness of the physical world, having lost our original and true awareness  of  higher levels of consciousness.

The SUBTLE REGION: Beyond the physical or corporeal world, is the subtle world – sometimes referred to as the astral plane or angelic world. The subtle world is a  world where there is purity of thought. It is a world of light and movement but no sound; the light is therefore not visible to the physical eye. In our meditation, our aim is to rediscover this subtle world for a while, and turn our attention inward to rediscover the subtle world of pure thoughts.

Thought is the energy of consciousness shaped by us. As a sculptor shapes a block of raw stone into something beautiful, we shape our thoughts into whatever we choose. The energy of thought is then transmitted like a signal from  a wireless transmitter; an invisible vibration but directed by us.

Everyone has had the experience of picking someone else’s thoughts, anticipating what they were about to say. It is this subtle energy of our thoughts, which is being received. It is by using the energy of our consciousness, by shaping or creating the right thoughts that we can reach the highest level of consciousness: the soul world.

The SOUL WORLD (Incorporeal World): Beyond the physical world of constant change, constant noise, constant movement; beyond the subtle world of pure thought, there is a dimension of complete silence and stillness, where nothing changes and time has no reference. This is the soul world or the home of all souls, from where each one of us has come and will eventually return. This is the highest region, the original home of souls and the Supreme Soul, God. This is the region which human beings, irrespective of culture or religion, have tried to reach in thoughts, prayers, etc. It is called Heaven by Christians, Nirvana by Buddhists, Shantidham, Paramdham or Brahmand by Hindus. Before we came to this earth, we were there with all other souls, our brothers. The experience of complete and utter peace, purity and silence is there in our sweet home. There, the soul is untainted by matter. Souls abide there as star-like points of light.

The soul stay in the soul world in well-defined groups. They descend onto this earth in a certain chronological order, according to the quality of sanskaras. At the apex of this configuration is the Supreme Soul called by others as God, Allah, Jehovah, Diyos, Shiva, etc. Beneath Him, the souls are positioned numberwise according to their degree of similarity to God. Depending on the quality and the part the soul has to play, it emerges on the human world, taking the body of a baby in a mother’s womb. It then continues through a cycle of birth and rebirth according to the role that it has. When the parts are over, souls again return to this world of light, peace, liberation and complete purity.

The deep rest the soul has had in the “home” has such an effect on it that even though it forgets the details about that world, there is always the impetus to search for that peace and silence when it becomes lost and confused in the world of matter. In that supreme region only, the souls remain in their completely original, natural state, which can be experienced through Raja Yoga meditation.

Dapat na ibalik an delikadesa sa puso san ato botante

THE WAVES' CONQUEST

By Jose G. Geñorga, VSA I

I love to see the waves,

they glide and dance

they roll and burst,

at night, I hear her silence,

at dusk she whispers,

            and says, “love one another”

once I had a dear old man,

telling me stories about the furious waves

in the ocean,

galleon traders passed by,

on the stormy sea

the ship sank down,

survivors moaning afloat,

the natives came,

offered the best hospitality —

coco wine, roasted venison

rice cake, ripe santol

that was real relationship

of true friends in conquest of the waves,

            the lion of the sea,

            the shipwrecker of the sea,

            the endless immortality kiss

between the moon and the waves,

            but now in turmoil,

            in agony,

a monstrous disaster that would

want to find happiness, peace

            love and harmony.

“Embocadero, here I am…

You conquer me, I love thee.”

A PRAYER FOR A MISTAKEN JUDGMENT

Lord, I vow and forgive Thee,

            they do not know,

                        the real essence of truth,

                                    that to love your friend

            is not bad,

                        if they do wrong,

                                                advice them.

                                    why folow their footsteps

                                                which are wrong?

Making friends is not bad.

Erase jealousy in the EYES of men,

Cast away doubts, what if we share

            Foods to the needy?

                        That is Charity.

Wrong is wrong to those who refuse

To understand that “love begets love”

“hatred begets hatred”

Once, I had a friend

He is good and kind

            We never talked of arguments

but a true friend of win-win relationship

Proactive, I am

we talked of his love life

how can I drive awaythis man

                                    ever faithful and brotherly?

Lord, judge me if I am wrong

I am the shattered glass

            Many step on me

but I wish their false ideas

Change over . . . accepting truth and reality

that I am NOT a bad guy

                        I am an ordinary citizen

and my heart is my best legacy

to my hometown
